Well, this will be a quick post but very important one.
Scrolling through my Facebook feeds, i stumbled across a post from a technology page regarding a vulnerability in some Wireless ASUS Router with USB network storage capabilities. The fact was that anybody could access the contents of the devices without passwords and without much efforts. From wedding pics, to music files to personal videos; everything! After some diving, i found that some people have already had their data stolen by some malicious guy asking for $50 to return the data.
More after the break line..

This post is a quick one and will not be so long. Since this morning, Skype has been running really really slow and on top on that, it is consuming 300+ K of RAM memory together with a HUUGGE amount of CPU !! Searching around the web got me some solutions that I hesitated to try until I finally settled for that that worked. Did you experience same and want to trouble shoot? It’s after the break;
Hello there. It’s been a long time since I have not written a post. Well, the one today is about something I am used to do; but one of my friends asked to show him how it’s done; so I thought – Why not write a blog-post/tutorial about it?
What happened? .. Well I was busy doing nothing when the friend whatsapped (please do not search for that verb in the dictionary) me saying he had trouble copying texts from a document for his homework. I asked him to send me the document so that I can. In fact, the document was a PDF one; it was not a locked document but it was a scanned doc. hmm.. How to grab the text from it?.. The easy way though.. It’s coming next 😉
As from the 1st of September 2013, all mauritian mobile phone numbers moved from 7 digits to 8 digits with a ‘5’ at the start of the number. This targets all subscribers of Orange Mauritius, Emtel, MTML/Chilli and all devices that uses the GSM protocol to communicate. Explained as a means to increase the capacity of the number allocation system as “we will soon be lacking numbers”, this decision has had mixed reactions from the population as a whole. For some, nothing great has changed whereas for others, that has had a huge impact on their way of life. In this post i will try to enumerate the problems faced together with solutions and suggestions.
